What to expect at our events
Whether you’re coming to a Social Mixer, a Slow Dating event, or one of our future adventures, here’s a little guide to what you can expect when you join us.
We know trying something new can feel a bit nerve-wracking, but we promise — our events are friendly, relaxed, and pressure-free. Our goal is to create a space where you can meet people naturally, have fun, and maybe even make a real connection.
1. Social Mixers
These are fun, casual events where you can mingle at your own pace.
- Relaxed atmosphere: no awkward rotations, just an easygoing way to meet other singles.
- Playful extras: some of our mixers have board games or light icebreakers to spark conversation.
- Drinks & snacks: most events have a bar or refreshments available.
- Stay as long as you like: arrive, mingle, chat — and leave when it feels right.
Perfect for: people who love a casual night out, meeting lots of different singles, and enjoying a lively environment.
2. Slow Dating
Structured, but still relaxed — the idea here is to give everyone a chance to meet everybody else without the rush of traditional speed dating.
- Small groups: you’ll sit in groups of 4–5 people for a short, timed chat.
- Move & mingle: after each round, participants switch tables so you meet multiple people.
- Icebreakers included: fun games or prompts are often on the table to help start conversations naturally.
- Then relax: once the rounds are finished, the structure drops away and you can continue chatting freely at the bar or around the venue.
Perfect for: people who want a bit more structure, enjoy conversation, and like knowing they’ve met everyone there.
3. General Things to Know
- Come as you are: there’s no strict dress code — just smart casual is fine.
- Attend alone or with a friend: many people come solo, and that’s totally normal.
- Be open, not pressured: the goal is real human connection, not “performance” or forced matches.
- New activities coming: we’re always adding fresh event types, from outdoor adventures to themed socials — so keep an eye on our events page!
